Working closely with Project Managers, Consarc Conservation, E Quinn Civils Ltd successfully delivered this project to complete the transformation of Warrenpoint Municipal Park to its former glory. The park is an important example of a planned Edwardian Town Park and the project included the restoration of the existing built structures and landscaped features to enhance usage and preserve for future generations.
Conservation work was completed to the Grade ‘B+’ listed bandstand, along with the Park Attendants Office and the Pavilion which was developed into an Interpretive Space. Other works included the regeneration of the tennis court and construction of a new soft play area.
The restoration work also enhanced access to the heritage of the Park and facilities. The original Edwardian planting landscape was reinstated, pathways resurfaced and new street furniture installed to allow visitors to relax and enjoy the Park’s surroundings.
