E Quinn Civils Ltd were awarded the Antrim WwTW upgrade works, under the NI Water ‘’Lot 2’’ Base Maintenance Contract, involving significant repairs and upgrades to existing MEICA assets. Antrim WwTW is designed to serve a combined residential and industrial population of 87,000 with a capacity to treat 84,230 m3 of sewage daily. During the delivery of this project existing process and treatment streams were maintained.
Some key elements of work that were completed included;
• Design and Replacement of 3 Nr Inlet Screw Pumps
• Replacement of Imported Sludge Screens
• Refurbishment of Sludge De-waterers
• Supply and Installation of Monitoring Equipment
• All associated Mechanical and Electrical Installation
• PLC / SCADA robustness
