Kilfennan Valley Park – Invest in play

Kilfennan Valley Park is located within a residential area and adjoining an existing grass pitch and changing facilities that remained in use during the construction period.

The main elements of this project:

Car Park & Lanscaping

Demolition of existing play park, major earthworks, new storm and foul water sewerage constructed with connections made to existing outfall locations, new access road, car park, amenity lighting, adjustment to the existing road, kerbing, bitmac/asphalt path network (including TransportNI adopted adjustment to the existing road, new lighting and footpaths).  Soft landscaping works and other minor civil engineering works.

3G Pitch

Removal of existing fencing and surfacing, construction of 3G pitch (which has been field tested and certified to FIFA, World Rugby or GAA standards), floodlight installation & associated electrical works, complete with access path and sports fencing, erection of ball stop fencing behind goals (Cricket nets, soccer nets, boot wipe and scraper & bins), associated storm drainage with storm outfall to adjacent stream.

Play Area

Removal of all existing play equipment, construction of play area complete with enclosing fencing and play equipment together with associated synthetic safety surfacing and installation of street furniture including. signage, bins, seats and benches. The finished project was inspected by RoPSA approved inspector and have passed the post installation inspection.

Pavilion

Construction of foundations for changing accommodation together with associated paths, drainage and fencing.

Construction of new pavilion, including 2 changings rooms, toilets, shower rooms, referee changing room with walk-in shower room, attendance room & Store, plant room and switch room. All associated mechanical and electrical installation.
